My interest in Standard Poodles began as a teenager when I met a lovely silver male at the local dog show in my small home town. I befriended his owner and set about learning all I could about this special breed, knowing that I may not have the opportunity to own one for many years.
Meanwhile, a local breeder of Hungarian Vizslas noticed my interest and invited me to learn and help show her dogs. Sian and I shared many wonderful wins with the Gamecall dogs. I had the pleasure of showing the beautiful Supreme Ch. Gamecall Emerge ("Eley") who became a multiple All Breed and Specialty Best in Show winner. His beautiful half sister Ch. Gamecall Dreambywater ("Brooke"), then joined my home after she was whelped on my 17th birthday. Brooke and I shared a lovely journey in the ring, winning multiple Class in Shows at All Breed and Specialty shows, as well as a lovely Specialty Bitch Challenge at only 14 months of age. While never trialled competitively, Brooke also ignited my passion for training in a range of dog sports and now excels at keeping a Poodle in line (with a big dose of Vizsla fun thrown in too!). I will be forever grateful to Sian & John Hine (Gamecall Hungarian Vizslas) for their continuing generosity and encouragement.

I'm the sort of person who doesn't do things by halves, so when I finished high school I boarded a plane for Canada to 'learn Poodles' from Allison Alexander. I stayed almost a year and feel very privileged to have had this opportunity before I even owned my first Poodle. Upon returning to Australia at the end of 2015 I briefly campaigned the lovely Ch. Remkyn My Kind of Crazy ("Hudson"), bred and owned by Margie Nottle-Justice. Hudson finished his Championship in style with 2 All Breed Best in Shows at his first weekend in the ring with me. Unfortunately, life got in the way and Hudson went home to Margie after a short but successful few months.
Fast forward a few years and in April 2021 I welcomed the first Standard Poodle of my own, Ch. Evoluer Whole Lot of Glam ("Allie"), from Krystal Flouskos and Marty Mason. Allie bounced out of her crate and into my arms at the airport and the rest is history. She is energetic, outgoing, intelligent, and affectionate. Allie enjoyed a short but sweet career in the conformation ring including Bitch Challenge, Runner-up Best of Breed and Junior in Show (Breed Specialty), Best in Group, Class in Show and Runner-up Best in Show (All Breeds). Now in a much sportier trim, I look forward to seeing where my adventures with Allie will lead.

Looking to the future, I hope to breed beautiful, healthy, outgoing Standard Poodles who can excel in every aspect of their lives. I have some wonderful mentors whose support and guidance I am always grateful for and I hope to do them proud. Most of all, I look forward to sharing my life with these most wonderful companions, and bringing that same joy to those who choose a Ssensation puppy.
